Extra researcher

Every team can include one researcher in their team from the same house.The researcher won't be allowed to

1. Speak in the finals.
2. Pass chits.
   
3. Ask POIs.

All the researchers will get certificates.

Results of the Intras.

The intra rounds were all about cut throat competition,rigorous grilling by the adjudicators and good ,no nonsense debating.The following teams qualified for the finals.

House 1(Total teams 3):Team of Siddharth Singh, Surendra Kumar & Mazumder.

House 2(Total teams 6):Team of Ankit Yadav, Kaustav Roy & Anumeha Mishra.

House 3(Total teams 6):Team of Arjun Choudhary, Yashi Kumar & Pallavi Arora.

House 4(Total teams 3):Team of Dhruv Matta, Divye Bahadur & Victor Das.

Official Language

The official language of the debate will be English.However participants are allowed to use Hindi phrases (like "aam admi","roti,kapda,makaan" etc.) and Hindi proverbs(although there is no dearth of proverbs in the English language).All the teams will be notified if the unlikey event of change of rules takes place.

As per the draw of lots the following houses have been allocated the following fronts:

House 3-UTA

House 4-Future Party

The above list is final and binding on all the participants.A participant might not endorse the front allocated to his/her team but is expected to uphold the spirit of competition and go ahead with the above mentioned allocation.Happy debating!!!

SATTA-2009 CALENDAR

2nd April (Thursday), F-1 Hall (4:00p.m) – Briefing of the whole event and allocation of fronts to the houses.

6th April (Monday) – Last date for Registration.


8th April (Wednesday), F-1 Hall – Intra Rounds for Houses 1 & 2 at 3p.m and 4p.m respectively.

9th April (Thursday), F-1 Hall – Intra Rounds for Houses 3 & 4 at 3p.m and 4p.m respectively.

16th April (Thursday) Seminar Hall – The Grand Finale. Inter-House or Final Rounds in presence of dignitaries and other audience.

Meeting for allocation of fronts.

Satta 09 is all set to begin officially.The first meeting for allocation of fronts will take place today(2/04/09) at 4 p.m in the seminar hall.All interested participants,house captains and vice captains are requested to be there.
