thank you for this great inception, well as far as i think the reason and object behind this debate is to preserve our democratic values ,if these are the objective then obviously language is no bar , any language will do ,if you want to get real feel ,real touch ,please allow hinglish , or hindi.the very concept of democracy frustrate here if you restrict some one to speak him in his own mother language , and the other side if you people want to improve oratory skill, or your object of this whole cocept is to inculcate debating skill then its ok ,its good, no problem but if you pepople want to show real democratic spirit please allow it its my humble request.

great to see this innovative step. As far as the official language is concerned I think in a democratic set up Hindi should get equal recognition and making it bilingual will be of greater help

These kinds of platform having its origin in a university ,plays an important role to recognize our culture , nationalism and nurtures the true feeling of nationalim in our youth. Hindi is also a part of nationalism , if we will start ignoring this language in our own country then how can our nationals will find a place in united nation assembly , democracy is equal to nationalism , language is one of the essetilal part of nationalism. well it is unfortunate that i have express my opinion in english because i know if i speak or write these thing in hindi no body will bother to take a look ,so the rest depends on you people ...

well i totally agree with shashank sir. y do we ignore hindi, why do we think hindi as a language of illiterates.its pity to see this condition of hindi , our mother tongue.agar aap apni bhasha pe garv nahi krsakte to aap bhartiya nahi ho. aur wo log jo "niche" se aaye hai wo bhi ek baat samajh le ki bhartiya hone pe garv kro.kisi rajya ka hone pe nahi......jim morrison ke poto utho aur Mukesh ko suno.....aur plzz is pratiyogita ko dwibhashi banane ke baare me vichar kare
ReplyDeleteTrue but we do need to understand that everyone values his/her mother tongue equally..so allowing only a certain section of students to speak in their mother(in this case the Hindi speaking students) tongue will be unfair,in this university we have students(and teachers) from all corners of the country,so if we allow everyone to speak in their mother tongue then quite a few problems will follow. This is the only hindrance we have in making Hindi the language of the debate, ignoring or denigration of any language is the last thing which any student of this university would endorse...And as far as 'hinglish' goes, use of hindi proverbs and Hindi phrases are allowed and inculcating debating skills is one of the objectives as all intra university competitions form an integral part of the prolonged grooming process which a student is expected to undergo in his/her college life.

(You dont have to make speeches to enthrall the hoi polloi. You have talk about issues.) No Friends Romans Countrymen stuff--only issues. Today some people talked a lot of sense. Still, the seriousness of research was missing. Only terrorism and POTA--come on ppl you can do better.
ReplyDeleteSeriously telling u our first priority shud b getting the Wi-Fi revamped here den only we can find and research and blah blah....
ReplyDeleteNow serious business Aashish sir as usual is right. Its not oratory, fluency but the content thats important here. Its not Presidential address "If u ever thought...ever questioned.... tonight will be your answer"Plz for Gods sake and ur sake,be wat u r in CS,headshot point blank. No frills, short, sweet, crisp.Criticism runs in our blood bt draw the first blood by making headon into most pertinent issues.Be it a clash of titans on various issues.Listen carefully only whips.U r spine of ur team.Go hammer and tongs.Just rip apart bt plz control ur temper and blood pressure.Speakers more issues need to be addressed than prima facie.Go for innovative solutions and the solutions due to paucity of time mayb(now u r forbidden to do that)borrowed.Good artist copy,Great artist steal and who are caught(mind it u will b) are disgraced and fates seal. Now ahem ...bored u shud b coz i am.Lastly "best of luck"(BTW luck by chance or KISS-MET connection(though thruout movie no kiss happened evn they make false promises u c.POliticians got company))
